Tambatan Siliwangi is an entry for the Siliwangi bridge design competition in Bandung, in association with Atelier UNA.
"Tambatan" is an acronym for "Taman Jembatan" in Indonesian, which means a park of bridge. It is also an Indonesian term for something that makes you stop.
Design concept: Park of bridges
A bridge basically is a connector between certain different points separated topographically. But what if the spaces are segregated? Rather than creating and focusing on a single bridge, we design cluster of bridges crossing through the river inter-connecting different parts of this public open space spread alongside the riverbanks of Cikapundung river, functioned as an art center as well.
Horizontal Landscape
Regarding its function as a public open space, horizontal lines are highlighted in the design, symbolizing an intimate horizontal relationship between the dwellers nearby the area. An improved surrounding is hoped to be able to encourage them to enliven the seemingly current dead space on the site through the means of art.

This is very cool! I would love to see a rendering of the site all together; the vignettes are a little disconnected, somewhat hard to understand where they fit into the site. I imagine you were short on time, but it would also be nice to see a detail of the amphitheater/sculpture/dock area, which is maybe the most interesting area of your design. But overall, a great concept.
